What is Done During a Pet Wellness Exam?
During a wellness exam, our veterinary team will ask questions about your pet and its lifestyle. We will then take the pet's temperature, pulse, respiration rates, and weight. Our veterinarian will then take a look at the animal's eyes, nose, ears, mouth, and teeth, lymph nodes, abdomen, hips, and legs. Our vet will also listen to the heart and lungs. Dental cleaning may be recommended as well as additional testing if there are any red flags. These could include x-rays, collecting a stool sample, urinalysis, or blood work. Vaccinations will also be given if the pet is due to receive them.
