Dr. Kathryn Smith is a proud native of Greensboro, North Carolina. She graduated from James B. Dudley High School in 2007, earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina A&T State University in 2011, and went on to receive her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 2015.
Over the years, Dr. Smith has practiced in Dunn, NC; Atlanta, GA; and High Point, NC, and is excited to now serve pets and their families in the Summerfield area. Her professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, and client education—she loves working
closely with pet owners to help them better understand their furry companions’ health. Dr. Smith is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA), and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
Inc. She is currently learning American Sign Language to better serve her community and clients.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending church, and catching up on her favorite shows like The Voice and Chicago Med. She and her husband have been married since 2017 and have three beautiful daughters. Their
family also includes a sweet and spicy Chihuahua named Buttercup.
