Helping Your Pet Manage Chronic Pain

Laser Therapy in Summerfield

Did your pet recently undergo surgery or suffer an injury? Is a chronic condition causing your companion pain or reduced mobility? If you answered yes to either of these questions, laser therapy might be the perfect solution. The therapeutic laser has been proven to be highly effective in reducing pain, restoring improved range of motion and speeding the healing process. Most importantly, it is a treatment method that is drug-free and completely non-invasive. This makes it one of the safest, most effective ways to address and manage illness and injury. In our effort to provide our clients with the most innovative options, The Animal Hospital at Lake Brandt is pleased to offer laser therapy.

What Is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy uses certain wavelengths of light to produce a therapeutic effect within the body. When the laser meets an area that has been injured or suffered trauma, the body produces a natural healing response. The result is a marked decrease in pain, improvement in mobility and function, and a faster recovery following injury or surgery. Laser therapy is an excellent option for pets because it’s painless, non-invasive, drug-free and does not cause side effects.

What Can Laser Therapy Treat?

It seems we are discovering new uses for the therapeutic laser almost daily. As of now, we can leverage this powerful and effective technology to treat and manage any of the following:

How Many Laser Treatments Will My Pet Need?

Your pet is unique, as is the type and severity of the condition being addressed. While one or two sessions may be enough to achieve the desired results for one patient, another may require a longer-term strategy. Determining how many sessions your pet will need will require an evaluation by one of our doctors. Once we’ve had the opportunity to examine your pet, we’ll provide you with an individualized treatment recommendation.

If your pet recently had an operation, was injured or suffers from a painful medical condition, give us a call at (336) 643-2229. Laser therapy may provide the relief he or she deserves.
